About the event
CTF Tech, in cooperation with Telia, is organizing the Telia Cyber Battle of Nordic-Baltics 2024 final for the fifth time on November 1, 2024, at the University of Tartu Sports Hall. Additionally, in cooperation with the Nordic Council of Ministers’ Office in Estonia, they are organizing Cybercation for the third time.
Telia Cyber Battle of Nordic-Baltics 2024 is the largest ethical hacking event for students in the Nordics and Baltics. It aims to raise awareness of cybersecurity among young people and educational institutions. The competition is designed to teach the fundamentals of cybersecurity in a practical, real-life, and ethical manner to develop and improve skills.
Cybercation is the Nordic-Baltic Educators’ Forum, organized exclusively for educators, IT teachers, representatives of educational organizations, youth specialists, IT/cyber education enthusiasts, civil servants, policymakers, and businesses. This event is set to revolutionize how we approach cybersecurity education, aiming to provide the cybersecurity experts that our societies are in high need of.

Virtual bootcamps
Virtual bootcamps by cyber experts for all girls and boys aged 15-24 will be held on March 23-24 or April 6-7.
These bootcamps are aimed at young people who are interested in the cyber world but have no previous exposure or experience in the field.
During the bootcamp, our cybersecurity experts will provide you with the basic knowledge and skills to work in the cyber world using a fun learning environment.
You can participate in the bootcamps as an individual. We welcome participants from Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Iceland.
Acquire basic knowledge on the following topics: Linux Basics, Port Scanning, DNS (Name Server) and Web Server Listing, Brute-Forcing, Metasploit, Cybersecurity and Cyber Wisdom, Steganography, Cryptography, Web Vulnerabilities, and Security Vulnerabilities.
You will gain insight into the minds of hackers.
P.S. Both weekend bootcamps will be in English.
Qualification round for Nordic + Latvia/Lithuania teams
The online qualification round for Nordic and Latvia/Lithuania teams will take place on September 20. The registration deadline is September 13.
To participate in the qualification round, you must form a team of 3-5 members. You can participate if you are 14-24 years old.
The best team from each Nordic-Baltic country will be invited to the Telia Cyber Battle of Nordic-Baltics 2024 final on November 1 in Tartu, Estonia. The travel and accommodation expenses of the best teams from the Nordic countries, Latvia, Lithuania, and their supervisor will be covered by the Nordic Council of Ministers’ Office in Estonia.
Additionally, the five best “Girls only” teams from the Nordic-Baltic region will be selected to participate in the final event on-site in Estonia.
Based on the results, we will determine who will represent their region in the final competition that will take place on November 1, 2024, in Tartu, Estonia.

Qualification round for Estonia teams
The qualification round for Estonian teams will take place on September 14. The registration deadline is September 7. To participate in the qualification round, you must form a team of 3-5 members. You can participate if you are 14-24 years old.
Those who want to participate in CyberSpike/Kübernaaskel can check both boxes during registration.
The best 8 mixed teams and the 5 best girls-only teams will advance to the on-site final on November 1 in Tartu.
We will announce the best qualification teams on social media and the Discord channel.
About CyberSpike/KüberNaaskel:
If a situation arises where a team doesn’t make it to the finals but has achieved very good individual results, these results will be reviewed separately in cooperation with the ECSC Estonian captain, and a decision will be made accordingly.
You are participating in the qualification round and final event as a team. Since each team member has their own user, competition organizers will also consider the best individual results.
CyberSpike is a competition aimed at identifying young talents in the field of cyber protection, implementing training programs for young talents, raising awareness, promoting education and career opportunities in cybersecurity in Estonia, analyzing potential shortcomings in cybersecurity awareness and training programs, proposing scientific solutions through gamification, and analyzing competencies.
The winners of the CyberSpike competition, placing first to third in both the younger (14-20 years old) and older (21-25 years old) categories, will be awarded the CyberSpike trophy by CR14. Additionally, participants in the main round will be offered various opportunities for further development through camps and subsequent online competitions in Estonia or abroad via TalTech. Similarly, students in grades 11-12 will have the chance to apply for studies at TalTech under special conditions: https://taltech.ee/eritingimustel-taltechi.
CyberSpike is organized in collaboration with CR 14, the Ministry of Defence, TalTech, and the Cyber Command.

– Telia CBONB 2024 x CyberSpike 10 best individuals who will receive invitations to the CyberCamp program
– Telia CBONB 2024 x CyberSpike/KüberNaaskel best male participant
– Telia CBONB 2024 x CyberSpike/KüberNaaskel best female participant
– Special prizes for solving tasks from partners, sponsors, and supporters
