Cybercation – Nordic-Baltic Educators’ Forum is a side event of the Cyber Battle of Nordic-Baltic 2023 (CBoNB) taking place on 11 November in Tartu, Estonia. The forum is organised by the Nordic Council of Ministers' office in Estonia and CTF Tech.
It brings together teachers and educational organizations, whose mission is to support ICT studies in the Nordic-Baltic region. Its goal is to provide a wider forum and growing stage for cyber education, enable international networking for educational institutions, policy makers and businesses and both students and educational institutions and develop long-lasting partnerships.
Cybercation aims to create a strong and collaborative network of practitioners, who share knowledge and experience on educating and training across the Nordic and Baltic countries. The forum:
Cyber security is quickly growing to be a critical aspect in modern societies. We rely on it to have fresh drinking water, uninterrupted power supply, safe traffic, operational education and government, growing businesses and functional financial system.
Yet companies, governments and communities lack talented people, as cyber security is a complex field with a high barrier for entry. Cybercrime on the other hand has become a global phenomenon where criminals can conduct attacks on targets across borders with unprecedented impact.
There is a need to reach out to young people, girls and boys, who may not have an interest in cyber. And the best way doing it is through gamified training and of course the education system – teachers, professors, school directors, policy makers.
In order to participate in the forum registration is needed. Sign up here!
Registration deadline is 1 November.
